Your team will consist of 30 golfers that you draft before the deadline. Golfers are ranked into 6 tiers with each tier having 20 golfers each. BGL ranks all the golfers from 1-120 to determine those 6 tiers. Each team selects 5 golfers from each of the 6 tiers, no more and no less. Five times six equals thirty golfers in total. If a golfer is not in a tier, i.e. ranked outside the 120 or not ranked at all, you may write-in (search and select from our database) a golfer in any tier as one of the 5 golfers for that tier. Note: you may not write-in a golfer who is already listed and ranked from 1-120 as you cannot move the golfer to a different tier. If you cannot find a particular golfer, then contact us and we will add the golfer to our database for you to write-in. Manage Fantasy Scoring & Points. We play with the Top 7 scores from each tournament, getting points as shown in the image. REMEMBER: these are top scores not the golfer rank or position at the end of a tournament. Usually, the top 7 scores result in 15-25 golfers earning points. In this tournament the Top 7 real scores were -29, -28, -27, -26, -25, -24 and -23. Thirteen golfers earned points in our game from this tournament. Chris Kirk won and received 10 points(*) with the 1st Score. Other golfers scored points. For example, the 6th score (-24) gave 2 points each to Jason Day and Xander Schauffele, and the 7th Score (-23) gave 1 point to Sepp Straka and Patrick Cantlay. The Commissioner can set the awarding of points for the Top 5-9 Scores and again, we play with 7. Playoff Tiebreaker. We play that if the golfer is in a tie at the end of regulation and loses the tiebreaker he gets 8 points for the 2nd Score instead of the usual 6 points. Signature Tournament Boost. There are 8 Signature events and if the Commissioner wants these boosted to count for more than a Standard tournament then points can be adjusted like we do in our league. Manage League Core. In this section you can choose to Mange Core Season which determines the period of time you play - a set number of weeks within the season or one week at a time. You’ll select the beginning and ending tournaments and also choose your draft deadline. If your league is set to auto-renew you won’t need to do anything when the period ends except to check these settings for the next period of play and be sure to look at and set the draft deadline. You’ll get an email reminder. We currently offer both PGA and LPGA fantasy golf. If you inadvertently choose the incorrect Player Pool and any team in the league has begun drafting you have the option to Nuke All Teams in the league and start over without having to create a new league. Choose this option carefully. Then you and your league participants can create new teams the next time each individually opens the application. Draft Parameters. Within Draft Parameters is where you control the three draft levers for your game. The 1st lever is Number of Tiers. Choose how many ranked tiers you want which translates into the groups of golfers. Our default for a full season of play is 6. The Number of Tiers multiplied by Tier Size sets the total amount of ranked golfers who get grouped. All golfers coming after that are available as write-ins. If you select “Yes” to turn Captain’s Picks on then all teams in your league will be able to Designate one golfer from each Tier in the Draft to be a Captain. Once selected, you’ll see this feature enabled when drafting for each tier and there are multiple ways to designate the captain during your draft. The Captain will get bonus points and the total points from each tournament will be either 2x, 3x, or 4x depending on which you choose. Simply set Number of Tiers at 1, Tier Size at 20, and Picks Per Tier at 10. You’ll be able to draft your 10 golfers and any golfers ranked 21+ become write-ins for you to slot into that Tier 1, no problem.
